BOGO Book Fair

BOGO Book Fair

And now for the book fair you have all been waiting for.... it's BOGO time! The BOGO (buy one book, get one of equal or lesser value free) book fair will be held in the media center on May 27-29 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will only be open during school hours. Teachers will sign up for a time to bring their class to the book fair so students have an opportunity to buy books. Please remember that tax will be added to the price of each book.

We are not guaranteed to have all of the books shown in flyer that will be sent home. This is the end of Scholastic's season so they only send us the books that are left in stock.

Our Scholastic Book Fair will be a great event for everyone. Happy Reading!

Mrs. Lund's class will be visiting the book fair on Tuesday, May 27th.

On Friday May 2, Pleasantview students will be walking in honor of all those we have known and loved who have battled cancer.  The Walk for Life is the school's version of the Relay for Life that goes on in this area in June.  We want all the students to understand the importance of having a worthy cause to fight for and understand that no matter how young they are, EVERYONE can make a difference. We would love for you and your family to come out and walk with your child on May 2nd. Please do not bring any pets.  Please send back your child's fundraising bottle by May 2nd!!

Our class will be walking at 10:40 AM.

Students and staff are asked to wear the following colors on May 3rd in support of certain kinds of cancer.

Kindergarten - Pink for Breast Cancer or White for Lung Cancer
First Grade - Yellow for Bladder and Bone Cancer
Second Grade - Orange for Leukemia and Kindney Cancer
Third Grade - Green for Liver Cancer

ROX BASEBALL READING PROGRAM

File:St. Cloud Rox Primary Logo.png
Pleasantview will be participating in the Rox Reading Program again this year.  Last week was the first Rox Reading Log and will go through through Sunday, May 11.  The Rox Reading Calendar will take the place of our regular reading/math facts log.  Students and parents will keep track and record their student's reading time on the weekly calendars.  Students are still required to get a minimum of 120 minutes each week.  If their calendar is turned in each week, they will qualify for the weekly drawing to win prizes of Rox merchandise and the grand prize.  One prize will be given out per week per classroom. At the end of 4 weeks, ALL students who reached their reading goal for all 4 weeks will earn the grand prize of a free ticket to a St. Cloud Rox home game!
