Parent Information for Prairie Fire Theatre


Hello! Welcome to the cast and crew of Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast.” We are happy to be in your community and look forward to a fantastic show this weekend.  In order to insure we are ready for performance it is important that you DO NOT MISS A REHEARSAL. Due to the short rehearsal span, ANY UNEXCUSED ABSENCE IS CAUSE TO DROP YOU FROM THE SHOW. If you are ill, please call and leave a message for us at. Rehearsals will begin and end ON TIME so please plan rides accordingly. Be aware that after rehearsal there will be NO SUPERVISION. If you are scheduled for more than two hours a day please bring a snack for break! No deliveries please, as break times may vary. Water bottles are allowed during rehearsals, and backstage during performances.

2:30 PM – 4:30 PM PRINCE, and SERVANTS
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM GARGOYLES, and BEAUTY 
3:30 PM – 6:45 PM GYPSIES
4:45 PM – 6:45 PM FAMILY, and BEAUTY
5:45 PM – 6:45 PM ROSES

THURSDAY 2:30 PM – 6:45 PM
EVERYONE *Lines memorized by today*

FRIDAY** 2:30 PM – 6:45 PM
EVERYONE for your DRESS REHEARSAL

SATURDAY 12:00 PM – End of 1st Show
EVERYONE for your FIRST SHOW

SATURDAY 4:00 PM – End of 2nd Show
EVERYONE for your FINAL SHOW

YOUR SHOWS ARE:  Sat., Jan 25th at 1:00 PM & 5:00 PM
** Please remember your LARGE BROWN PAPER GROCERY BAG with your tank-top or t-shirt and shorts inside it on FRIDAY.  Parents who want to help with make-up may arrive one hour prior to the time of the show.

*****PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR SCRIPTS*****

PRAIRIE FIRE THEATRE PROVIDES ALL COSTUMES, but ALL CAST MEMBERS will need to bring a pair of shorts and a t-shirt of a neutral color for UNDERNEATH their costume. Bring those items, and anything else for your costume, in a large paper grocery bag with your name and character name on it. Please make sure that your snack is in a separate container!

HAIR: Everyone will need to bring anything they need for their hair. Specifics on hairstyles will be discussed throughout the week. SHOES: Any shoes with a back will work. Please stay away from flip flops or any shoes without backs, and tennis shoes with blinking lights if possible. Slip-ons work the best and ballet or jazz shoes work well too. PLEASE DO NOT FEEL YOU NEED TO RUN OUT AND BUY ANYTHING.

During the performances, NO FLASH PHOTOS PLEASE. VIDEOTAPING is allowed if not used for commercial purposes and Prairie Fire receives a copy at the address listed on the letterhead. If you do decide to videotape, we ask that you talk to the directors about where to set up to insure that entrances are not blocked.

Some cast members will be asked to help with costume check-in after the final show. Please let us know if that is not possible in advance.

SOUVENIER T-SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE WEEK AND ON PERFORMANCE DAYS. The cost is $16.00 each. CASH ONLY PLEASE!
